The issues found during controls conducted on Friday by inspectors of the National Consumer Protection Authority (ANPC) at several Cora stores will be resolved within the shortest time, and a good part thereof has actually already been remedied, representatives of SC Romania Hypermarche (Cora stores) said in a point of view sent upon the request of AGERRPES.
"ANPC conducted this morning controls in four Cora hypermarkets in Bucharest and found a series of issues we are working to address within the shortest time. Most of them have actually already been remedied. Cora maintains a constant relationship of dialogue with the authorities. We always appreciate the observations of ANPC experts and cooperate to improve business. We assure customers that we have implemented all health and safety measures in our Safeguard-certified stores, so that they have a pleasant and safe shopping experience. Cora stores are open to all customers," Cora representatives said.
The national food safety watchdog proposed the closure of the Cora Pantelimon and Cora Alexandria units for a maximum of 6 months, following the identification of several major violations at the two stores during an inspection this Friday, ANPC said in a release.
