Capsula Crew Dragon Endeavour a companiei SpaceX, cu patru astronauţi la bord, a andocat cu succes sâmbătă la Staţia Spaţială Internaţională (ISS), potrivit imaginilor difuzate în direct de serviciul de televiziune al NASA, informează AFP, citată de Agerpres.


Prima fază a conectării a început la ora 9:08 GMT, la 424 de kilometri deasupra Oceanului Indian.


A doua etapă a avut loc câteva zeci de minute mai târziu, iar atunci a fost pus în funcţiune mecanismul care sigilează andocarea printr-o serie de 12 încuietori între ISS şi naveta spaţială.


''Hard Capture s-a finalizat, bun venit la Crew-2'', a spus astronauta americană Shannon Walker, care este acum comandantul Staţiei Spaţiale Internaţionale.


Încăperea dintre capsulă şi ISS se află în prezent sub presiune astfel încât trapele dintre Endeavour şi Staţia Spaţială Internaţională să poată fi deschise.


La ora 11:15 GMT, trapele se vor deschide, iar la ora 11:45 GMT va avea loc ceremonia de întâmpinare a noilor sosiţi.

SpaceX, fondată de Elon Musk, a lansat, vineri, la ora locală 05:49 (12:49 ora României, n.r.) de la centrul spaţial Kennedy din Florida, un echipaj cu patru astronauţi la bord către Staţia Spaţială Internaţională (ISS), iar primele minute de zbor s-au derulat bine.


Misiunea, numită „Crew-2”⁣, include doi astronauţi americani, Shane Kimbrough şi Megan McArthur, dar şi pe japonezul Akihiko Hoshide şi pe francezul Thomas Pesquet de la Agenţia Spaţială Europeană (ESA). Cu toţii au mai călătorit în spaţiu.


Ei vor sta aproximativ şase luni la bordul staţiei orbitale, unde vor realiza experimente ştiinţifice şi activităţi de mentenanţă, înainte de a reveni pe Pământ.


Aceasta este a treia călătorie cu echipaj SpaceX, compania privată condusă de miliardarul Elon Musk, care transportă astronauţi ai NASA după nouă ani din cauza retragerii din circulaţie a navetelor spaţiale americane, în 2011. La acea vreme, Statele Unite au depins de capsulele ruseşti Soyuz pentru a-şi trimite astronauţii la bordul ISS.
